Rutlish School Tops National Performance Tables 2019
Official ratings put Rutlish School as England’s best performing non-selective state funded boys’ school, based on the progress our students make from when they start at the school to when they complete their GCSEs.
The just-released School Performance tables confirm our excellent 2019 exam results, with Rutlish boys scoring a full grade higher than the national average across all their subjects. These results show that our students achieve significantly higher than boys of a similar ability nationally.
Rutlish School was graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in its most recent inspection in 2017.
Students at the school’s Sixth Form also performed extremely well, with RR6 ranking in the country’s top 20 non-selective state-funded boys’ schools. Our Sixth Form value added score makes us the highest rated state school in Merton, with an average grade of B-.
As headteacher, I am delighted that our staff and students have achieved such excellent results, bucking the national trend. Our ranking as ‘Best in the country’ is testament to the high quality teaching at our school, as well as our students’ hard work and commitment to learning.
